Webb - I am wearing a sweatshirt too... the only difficult thing is that whatever we plant here in Maine needs to grow and ripen in less than 100 days.
I'm a Master Gardener, have a small organic vegetable garden in Maine, grown vegetables in containers in Florida, and also grow lots of flowers.
I enjoy good food, cooking what I've grown in my garden or with ingredients I can buy locally.
I'm happiest when I'm in the water, on the water, or just looking at the water. I also love being in a garden.
I have a golden retriever named 'Emily', also known as 'The Monster'. She loves to play ball, go swimming, and has lots of people friends.
We spend summers on the Belgrade Lakes in Maine and the rest of the year in South Florida where I'm in the process of creating a tropical garden.
I love garden clubs, and am currently the 1st Vice President of the Wellington, FL Garden Club, the webmaster and newsletter editor, co-president of a garden club in my community, and Horticulture Chairperson of the Waterville, Maine Community Garden Club.
I also teach fun, hands-on gardening courses at Palm Beach State College.

I'm happy you're back in Maine too! Is that turtle/tennis ball picture really from this year? It must have remembered its old friend Emily.
We're already to the "too hot to work in the garden except before 7 a.m." part of the summer and you are still planting. I am DO jealous!! Enjoy.
The turtle picture is from this year. They come up from the lake to lay their eggs this time of year. It just ignored the ball.
