It has been a great growing season - lots of sunshine and hot weather. Edible Nasturiums planted from seed saved from last year surround the garden |
Oregano Blooming - a perennial that comes back every year with Ribbon Grass |
Dill 'Bouquet' - Judy's 'must' in potato salad |
'Big Bertha' Pepper |
Waltham Butternut Squash |
This is the first year I've grown 'Bonbon' Buttercup Squash. |
'Baby Bear' Pie Pumpkin is Starting to Turn Orange |
Lots of bees to pollinate. I've been eating Swiss Chard 'Bright Lights' all season. Marigolds planted from seed saved from last year are pretty and are supposed to 'ward off pests'. Mmmm... I'm hungry ... time for dinner. All varieties are from Johnny's Selected Seeds except for 'Big Bertha' which comes from Burpee. |
Wow, cool pictures. Your garden is doing great! I agree with Mom about the dill.
ReplyDeletePretty! The veggies look delicious.
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous! Way too hot and dry here for much to grow - even the tomatoes have given up the ghost. Only a few peppers and all the okra you can eat! I can see moisture in your photos and it makes me want to roll in your garden. Enjoy!
ReplyDeletegood job - everything looks great. I hope you're having fun eating all the delicious veggies.
ReplyDeleteI think these veggies would win a blue ribbon at Windsor Fair or maybe even Common Ground Fair. Great job Farmer Susan. Shirley
